It failed after using Microsoft Visual Studio 8.0. I am a novice at this topic and need to create something similar to this for some application which will lead to a popup window or dialog where user can edit the various settings. I tried to build your code. But, when running the executable file, as soon as test button is pressed, the dialog pops up and MFC application stops responding. When i tried to debug this (I am a novice at that too) Visual Studio showed the following error: Unhandled exception at 0x6f61f7ba (mfc42.dll) in ExtnDllTest.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x00000000. at MainFrm.cpp -->> void CMainFrame::OnTest() -->> dll.CallDlg(); in the mcExtnDlg project. Please suggest me something which helps me overcome this problem. Thanks in advance. Roushan
