I have been a Microsoft Visual FoxPro developer/Xbase since 1987. It has paid my bills for many years. In order to keep up with the market I am going for certification in MCTS Distributed Applications with C# as the main language. I do not believe VFP is dead, yet...

Welcome to the C# world David. As you said about paying bills, C# is probably the best paid languate right now.
