Angular error "cannot find module '@angular-devkit/core"

Question

I am creating new project and whenever try to create a component it give me an error "cannot find module '@angular-devkit/core' ", like :     I also update my npm after reading some article, but didn't work for me.

Hi Komal,
This error occurs when "@angular/cli" is not updated, and also you read out the perfect thing, but you miss one point, i.e. before update npm, first, go to "package.json" file, and change "@angular/cli" inside "devDependencies", like
"@angular/cli":"1.6.0",
change the above line by
"@angular/cli": "^1.6.0",
and then run "npm update" command.
