Can we use aspx controls in mvc behalf of html helpers? If yes then how can it implements?
Please anyone can clear my confusion....regarding this....

Hi,
you cannot use asp.net server control with MVC application because most of them are use viewstate and postback model which is not supported by MVC. These serverside control rely on the post back events and server persisting their state in viewstate (using hidden filed). MVC does not support event base architecture...

Hi,
If your are using ASPX view engine than only tool box show the sever control because VS is only identify extension of page. if the extension is aspx and ascx than VS shows toolbox
One more point you can also include asp.net page into MVC application in this page we can use server side control.

MVC has it own Html helper class which are help us to Generate HTML .
You can create your own Helper Class also.
