Asynchronous Programming

Very broad topic, but let me give you a document from MSDN. A sample example to run a function asynchronously would be like the following code, 

private async void func() {
   await Task.Run(() => {
       // Code to run asynchronously here 
   });
} 

The above function is asynchronous whenever it gets called. In the above code, the code in the Task.Run would run asynchronously, on a separate thread. await keyword would return the control back to from where func was called and thus would allow you to run code asynchronously. It is a pretty much complex process and scenario, but as you would try it out, you will gain more and more knowledge and skill.
