boolean type checkbox checked unchecked in MVC

Question

In my project some table field like GST_No , isGST_no etc.
in SQL server database GST_No  nvarchar(100), isGST_no  bit   in Moldels. public string GST_No { get; set; } public Boolean isGST_no { get; set; }   so when i write GST_No in create part then after automatically isGST checked checkbox and delete GST_No then unchecked automatically. How it possible ?   please give me answer for ONLY MVC not for simple asp     Thanx

On secod thought, you can also have a read only property on the class as well based on the original (other) property itself.   Then your MVC problem is also automatically solved, which isn't a problem anymore.

Disclaimer: I am NOT answering your question.   It would be nice to know as to why exactly are you storing duplicate information in the database. Hopefully, your GST_No column is nullable. When it is null, you obviously do not have GST. So you can populate the column on the fly within select itself as shown below: select  GST_No     , convert ( bit ,  case   when  GST_No  is   null   then  0  else  1  end ) [isGST_No]  -- if you don't convert, it would be integer by default.    ....   This is a better approach. Do not keep duplicate information in database. In theory, it is against normalization principles and in practise, it is hard to maintain.
