Connecting datasources to PowerBI

I work in a place where the sysytem is designed in COBOL.

I am responsible for analytics and we use PowerBI , I was wondering that how will ADO.Net technology help me in connecting the sysytem directly to PowerBI

Thanks Manik but i am looking for a connector which can connect from COBOL system to PowerBI, is there a way to connect the backend data from COBOL to it?

Power BI supports a specific provider version on objects.
