data grid problem

Question

I have this datagrid in my program that pulls its rows based on a data relation from another datagrid on the same page. The database that I am pulling the information from comes from another program so I cannot really add tables and such. Anyways one of the items that comes into my list comes in as a number that represents something. I don't want the number to be shown. I want what it represents to be shown. Now I thought to make an xml file with the representations, and then add a realtion to my xml file but I can't seem to figure out how to implement it. Is this a good way to do this? How else might I accomplish such a task??

I'm not sure I get your question, but if you simple want to display the values in a column in one grid, in a column of another grid, you just do something like this:
for (int i = 0; i < dataGridView1.Rows.Count; i++)
{
dataGridView2.Rows[i].Cells["NameOfColumn"].Value =
dataGridView1.Rows[i].Cells["NameOfColumn"].Value;
}

Most of the code I made using the designer so It would be very difficult short of copying all the code.  But basically I want one of my columns in my datagridview to display something based on a value in another column.  Like this
A columns displays the value 01.  01 is actually Start of Care.  So I would like to have another one of my columns display "start of care".  I have an xml file with all these numbers and struings listed.
