data not inserting into database in asp.net using c#   here r both the codes...plzzz look into this

Dear Friend,   You should close the database connection only after the 'cmd.ExecuteNonQuery();' statement. Here you are closing the db connection before executing your insert query.   The code should look as follows: public  partial  class  Default2 : System.Web.UI.Page   {   protected   void  Page_Load( object  sender, EventArgs e)   {   }   SqlConnection con=  new  SqlConnection(ConfigurationManager.ConnectionStrings[ "constrings" ].ConnectionString);   protected   void  btnsignup_Click( object  sender, EventArgs e)   {      con.Open();      SqlCommand cmd =  new  SqlCommand( "insert into SignUp values ('"  + txtname.Text +  "',"  +    txtemail.Text +  "',"  + txtpass.Text +  "',"  + txtcpass.Text +  "')" , con);      cmd.ExecuteNonQuery();      con.Close();      lblstring.Text =  "Data Inserted" ;      txtname.Text =  null ;      txtemail.Text =  null ;      txtpass.Text =  null ;      txtcpass.Text =  null ;   }   }

You are closing the SqlConnection before executing the query, it requires an open connection.   However, I afraid why developers can't rectify such silly mistakes
