But how the value -  id ="DeleteModal- @ item.Id "> in Partial view will come   id ="DeleteModal- @ item.Id "> > @* × Close *@ Delete Confirmation Are you sure you want to delete this record ? for that purpose, you should use a partial view. if you will make your layout strongly typed then each of your models will bound to inherit from a base model and not only this each Action method that returns a view referencing that Layout will have to fill the property of Base Model, however, you can create an action filter to overcome this redundant task. visit my article on this https://www.sharpencode.com/article/MVC/filters-in-asp-net-mvc/actionfilter    but I will still suggest you use partial view and never make your Layout strongly typed.
