Hi Try This: DateTime fromDate = DateTime.Parse( "2017-05-16" );   DateTime toDate = DateTime.Parse( "2019-08-02" );   var dateSpan = DateTimeSpan.CompareDates(fromDate, toDate);   Console.WriteLine(dateSpan.Years +  "Years "  + dateSpan.Months +  " Months" );

Hey Ashwin try this.

DateTime fromDate = DateTime.Parse("2017-05-16");
DateTime toDate = DateTime.Parse("2019-08-02");
TimeSpan timeSpan = toDate.Subtract(fromDate);
var totalDays = timeSpan.TotalDays;
var totalYears = Math.Truncate(totalDays / 365);
var totalMonths = Math.Truncate((totalDays % 365) / 30);
var remainingDays = Math.Truncate((totalDays % 365) % 30);
Console.WriteLine(totalYears + " Years " + totalMonths + " Months " + remainingDays + " Days.");

You need to review your answer it should be at least 2 Years and 2 Months. You can try this code to get difference between two date. DateTime dtCurrent = Convert.ToDateTime( "2019-08-02" );   DateTime dtDOB = Convert.ToDateTime( "2017-05-16" );   TimeSpan timeSpan = dtCurrent - dtDOB;   DateTime age = DateTime.MinValue + timeSpan;   int  years = age.Year - 1;   int  months = age.Month - 1;   int  days = age.Day - 1;                  string  dateDifference = (years.ToString() +  " Year/s "  + months.ToString() +  " Month/s "  + days.ToString() +  " Day/s" );   You can check the live demo on the below link.   https://rextester.com/ETWL53641   Hope it help you.

Hi,   Use time span and check the year and month difference in the date that you have provided in the question.   Code : using  System;      public   class  Program   {        public   static   void  Main()       {           DateTime zeroTime =  new  DateTime(1, 1, 1);           DateTime startDate =  new  DateTime(2017, 05, 16);           DateTime endDate =  new  DateTime(2019, 08, 02);            //Time span for year calculation            TimeSpan span = endDate - startDate;            int  years = (zeroTime + span).Year - 1;            int  month = (zeroTime + span).Month - 1;           var difference = (endDate - startDate);           Console.WriteLine(years +  " Years "  + month +  " Months" );       }   }   Demo   https://dotnetfiddle.net/0HVzRP   Output Verified :   As per the online verification the date difference is 2 year 2 month.

You can use  DECLARE @FromDate DATETIME =  '2014-01-01 23:59:59.000' ,            @ToDate   DATETIME =  '2015-06-02 00:00:00.000' ,           @Years  INT , @Months  INT , @Days  INT , @tmpFromDate DATETIME   SET @Years = DATEDIFF(YEAR, @FromDate, @ToDate)    - (CASE WHEN DATEADD(YEAR, DATEDIFF(YEAR, @FromDate, @ToDate),             @FromDate) > @ToDate THEN 1 ELSE 0 END)               SET @tmpFromDate = DATEADD(YEAR, @Years , @FromDate)   SET @Months =  DATEDIFF(MONTH, @tmpFromDate, @ToDate)    - (CASE WHEN DATEADD(MONTH,DATEDIFF(MONTH, @tmpFromDate, @ToDate),             @tmpFromDate) > @ToDate THEN 1 ELSE 0 END)           SET @tmpFromDate = DATEADD(MONTH, @Months , @tmpFromDate)   SET @Days =  DATEDIFF(DAY, @tmpFromDate, @ToDate)    - (CASE WHEN DATEADD(DAY, DATEDIFF(DAY, @tmpFromDate, @ToDate),             @tmpFromDate) > @ToDate THEN 1 ELSE 0 END)           SELECT @FromDate FromDate, @ToDate ToDate,           @Years Years,  @Months Months, @Days Days
