Absolutely, I'd be happy to provide you with insights on Dotnet Core and its features! .Net Core is a free, open-source, cross-platform framework developed by Microsoft. Here are some key features and benefits of .Net Core:
1. Cross-Platform Development: .Net Core allows developers to build and run applications on various operating systems like Windows, macOS, and Linux. This cross-platform capability makes it versatile and flexible for different environments.
2. High Performance: .Net Core is designed to provide high performance and scalability. It offers faster execution speed and lower memory consumption, which is crucial for building high-performance applications.
3. Modularity: The framework is modular, allowing developers to include only the necessary components in their applications. This helps in reducing the application size and improving performance.
4. Open Source: Being open source, .Net Core benefits from community contributions and continuous improvements. Developers can access the framework's code, contribute to its development, and customize it to fit their needs.
5. Compatibility: .Net Core is compatible with various development tools and libraries. It also supports multiple programming languages like C#, F#, and Visual Basic, making it versatile for different types of projects.
6. Container Support: .Net Core seamlessly integrates with container technologies like Docker, enabling developers to create and deploy containerized applications easily.
7. Support for Microservices Architecture: .Net Core is well-suited for building microservices-based applications. Its lightweight nature, modularity, and performance make it a preferred choice for developing microservices.
These features make .Net Core a powerful framework for building modern, scalable, and cross-platform applications. If you are looking to develop applications that can run across different platforms efficiently, .Net Core is definitely a strong contender. Let me know if you have any specific questions or if you would like to delve deeper into any particular aspect!

HI Sam
Its confusing now most of the interviews asking dotnet core you are saying we should not mention core separately it can be part of dot net framework

See:
.NET and .NET Core official support policy | .NET

.Net Core is not supported. New development should use .Net. The name .Net is very confusing since people use that name for all versions of .Net.
Currently the only versions of .Net are .Net and .Net Framework. .Net Framework only works for Windows but the library of classes is greater.
