Please follow below steps to sort out your issues and it will help you to solve it easily.   1. Use the same datasource for adding and updating records from Popup. 2. Add ASP:Panel as shown in link (in my previous post) and also you can include multiview in the Panel.   ASP:Panel : https://www.aspsnippets.com/Articles/Add-Edit-Update-Records-in-GridView-using-Modal-Popup-in-ASP.Net.aspx ( Please go through the code and screenshots carefully because it has 90% similar to what you are looking for )   Multiview :  https://www.codeproject.com/Articles/13165/A-Simple-ASP-NET-Tab-Control-Using-the-MultiView-c   3.  To update the data from multiview to your existing datasource.   protected void Save( object sender, EventArgs e) { using ( SqlCommand sqlcmd = new SqlCommand ()) { sqlcmd.CommandType = CommandType .StoredProcedure; sqlcmd.CommandText = "AddUpdateEmployee" ; sqlcmd.Parameters.AddWithValue( "@ID" , txtID.Text); sqlcmd.Parameters.AddWithValue( "@Name" , txtName.Text); sqlcmd.Parameters.AddWithValue( "@DOB" , txtDOB.Text); DataGridView1.DataSource = this .GetData(sqlcmd); DataGridView1.DataBind(); } }   Note: Please accept this answer, if it is helpful to you.
