FPS,3rd Person etc Games

Question

Is it possible to create these games in C#, or would I have to learn C++ to create games like Half-Life, doom (1,2), or like Rune (Runegame.com)

3D animation using C# is possible bt takes a lot of hard work

C# can be used for 2d rather well... but 3d is pushing it TOO far. You could do it, but C++ is the better way to go for that.
