help regarding dll programming

hi,
im a newbie to dll programming and i wish to create a dll containig following function
so that i can call it in C# for use
plz be as descriptive as possible coz i dont know anything about dll programming.
any link to dll cretion sample migth help ....
plz if u could also specify ho to create it plz do .....
plz reply asap .......

if you create the dll in c++.NET (and write it 100% managed code) u would do this using Class Library project type.
if you write it in unmanaged code (non .NET c++)
then u would use P/Involke method by using DllImport attribute,
search on this form for DllIMport and u will se many examples

no i was talking about creating a dll in VC++ /VC++.net and then importing it in c# or anyother language......
either by making them com complaint or simple dll

are u taking about making c# dlls or using dlls in c#?
u can create dlls in vs.net by making projects of Class Library
and u can put ur code there, and compile, taht will generate a dll
