How can I solve the connection error in SQL ?

Question

I have created a database in SQL but when I want to access it by C# but the compiler can't access and open database.   the error is :   An unhandled exception of type 'System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException' occurred in System.Data.dll
Additional information: Cannot open database "Restaurant" requested by the login. The login failed.
Login failed for user 'Milad0007\Milad.H'     Please guide me to solve it.

Colud you add System.Data.Sqlclient name space in your code page.

hey JOe!
Try like this:
Go to your database.mdf - - > Press f4 - -> Connection string Copy the whole Connection string. it  looks like this :
"Data Source=.\SQLEXPRESS;AttachDbFilename="C:\Users\Nilesh\Documents\Visual Studio 2010\WebSites\WebSite13\App_Data\Database.mdf";Integrated Security=True;User Instance=True"
just change it to like this:
You need to remove the path and make it short like:
C:\Users\Nilesh\Documents\Visual Studio 2010\WebSites\WebSite13\App_Data -- > Remove this
And add this "|DataDirectory|".
After
@"DataSource=.\SQLEXPRESS;AttachDbFilename= |DataDirectory| \Database.mdf;Integrated Security=True;User Instance=True"

Check the connection string values you have passed.   Data Source=ServerName/Address;Initial Catalog=DataBaseName;Integrated Security=SSPI; User ID=Domain\Username;Password=Password;

I have already added in my project but  my question was something else, I want to know how can I use local instead of server name in my project ?

Hi,   well, I had used (local) in connection string but someone had told that it i outdated in new visual studion and SQL SERVER MANAGEMENT STUDIO so I used the server name in connection string and it got solved.
