This is off the cuff, you need to check it:    from PIL import Image    text_file_handle = open(“bride.txt”,”w”)
im = Image.open("bride.jpg")   bride.jpg is just a sample image file.    width,height=im.size   allows you to get the width and height of the picture    loop over the pixels:      for column in range(0,width):     for row in range(0,height):
write_pixel(im.getpixel(column,row), text_file_handle)
text_file_handle.write("
")
You need to define write_pixel(pixel,file_handle) For a grey image pixel is just an integer. Here is a crude implementation:      define write_pixel(grey_value, handle):     handle.write(“%d,”%grey_value)
for a colour image    define write_pixel(t, handle):     handle.write(“%d %d %d,”%(t[0],t[1],t[2]))
dont forget to close your text_file_handle (or use a with statement to do it implicitly)    text_file_handle.close() #closing the old, explicit way
