Inline code in MVC view

Question

I have seen lot of developers write in-line code in view pages(.cshtml). It reminds the classic asp code style.
In the MVC view, if we have lot of if-else conditions how to avoid that? Is it really a bad idea to have in-line codes in view?

the inline code in MVC is carried forward from previous versions so as not to leave the developers completely handicapped when they want to do some coding tasks in view.   however, it should be kept to the minimum and used only as last resort because more inline code will make ur view markup less readable and hence difficult to debug when an issue arises   You have to find out a way either to move logic to controller or create partial views or use jquery

Html Helper helps you create HTML elements but it may or may not be best solution in each and every case.   you have to decide based on your circumstances.   I suggest you post your view with inline code so that we get some hint and can suggest you something

Thanks Nilesh, Is the custom Html Helper is the workaround to reduce the in-line codes?
If yes, can you please provide a good example?
