.Net Microservices is an architectural pattern for developing modular, cost saving, easy to scale, easy to maintain enterprise level system. You can create Microservice using ASP.Net Core MVC WEB API and also with ASP.Net 4.5.2 Web API.
But Micro Services is an architectural pattern for developing next generation mission critical apps. A Microservice architecture is much like DDD (Domain Driven Development) but you can say Microservices architecture is better implementation of DDD and SOA(Service Oriented Architecture ). A .Net microservice contains following things
Each microservice contains its own data model, business logic and even its own database. The idea is to build a system that can be developed and scaled by managing Microservices that are completely independent of each other. Each Microservice can be deployed on a different host on a server completely unaware of other services. Each microservice can interact with each other and share data through
A Microservice can be isolated by isolating the process that is running that service and can be isolated by deploying it to docker container images.
A system developed by Microservices can have hundred and even thousands of Microservice running on a distributed environment on different nodes on different servers.
