Hello   There is coding standard which you need to follow like :   If you are converting values that there is thumb rule , "can not convert upper to lower" , i mean from double to integer    Solution :   For that typecasting is pretty easy to implement , just try below snippet :   public   class  Program       {            public   static   void  Main(string[] args)           {                 double  itotal,itotal1;                               // It's working but not suggested                 itotal1 = Convert.ToDouble( "9.78" );               Console.WriteLine(itotal1);                               // Faster than ToDouble()                 double .TryParse( "9.78" , out itotal);               Console.WriteLine(itotal);              }       }       For more reference you can follow :   https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/kx3x7f55(v=vs.110).aspx   https://www.completecsharptutorial.com/csharp-articles/3-ways-to-convert-string-to-int-or-number-in-c/   I hope my answer will be helpful to you   Thanks

Hello @Praveen    kindly try the following lines of code and update me if it truly solves your Problem #NaijaCanCode.
string  total = textBox10.Text;        double  itotal = Convert.ToInt64(total);

First check your text box value that should contain only nombers and only one decimal point , if it contain other letters or spaces it throws "input string was not in current format" error And I have noticed in your code
string  total = textBox10.Text;   double  itotal = Int64.Parse(total); // wrong left side is double and in right side  you are converting to integer.
Better do both side same. Try below code
string  total = textBox10.Text;   double  itotal = Convert. ToDouble (total);
