i  am seeing this video but in this video he is using roles class method  Adduerotrole but my question is that is this method is built in are this is user define are i am missing namespace can any one help me...?

There are actually two related methods: Add User ToRole() and Add Users ToRole().

check ur drowdownlist selected value is string or not by using breakpoint.

AddUserToRole is  a Built in method which is present in Roles class and this class present in Namespace:  System.Web.Security  ,this method specified a role for a user.

It sounds to me like the Roles.AddUserToRole() method in the System.Web.Security namespace. A reference is needed to System.Web.dll to use this method.
