SQL Function for XML search

Question

Hi,    Can anyone tell me how to create SQL function to filter for attributes and elements from the given XML string .   Thanks Sathish

Sample XML value in Table: name = "paramA" value = "valueA" /> name = "paramB" value = "valueB" /> ... Sample Query: SELECT xmlCol . value ( '(/container/param[@name="paramB"]/@value)[1]' , 'varchar(50)' ) FROM MyTable
