Sql Trigger - multi-part identifier could not be bound

Question

I'm trying to insert a QuoteNumber from a table called AccountInfo into a table call ShippingInfo where the columns ShippingIdentity match, but I keep getting this error when I try to run this code. The line that throws the error is: inner join inserted on ShippingInfo.ShippingIdentity = a.ShippingIdentity.  Can someone please  tell me why? Thanks for any help.   ALTER TRIGGER InsertQuoteNumber ON AccountInfo FOR INSERT AS BEGIN INSERT INTO ShippingInfo (QuoteNumber) SELECT a.QuoteNumber FROM INSERTED as a inner join inserted on ShippingInfo.ShippingIdentity = a.ShippingIdentity update ShippingInfo set QuoteNumber = i.QuoteNumber from ShippingInfo s inner join inserted i on s.ShippingIdentity = i.ShippingIdentity END

Hello, I finally got some data inserting into the table but it's not updating the record where the 2 tables have matching ShippingIdentity. The QuoteNumber is going into it's own record right below the the record where I would like to have it be ALTER TRIGGER ShippingQuoteNumber ON ShippingInfo FOR INSERT AS BEGIN UPDATE ShippingInfo SET QuoteNumber = a.QuoteNumber FROM AccountInfo a INNER JOIN inserted t ON t.ShippingIdentity = a.ShippingIdentity END

The columns in " ShippingInfo" table and the columns in the "Select" statement should match. Thanks, Prawin

Thanks for your reply, but I get an error message saying:Column name or number of supplied values does not match table definition.

Could you please remove " (QuoteNumber)" and try? Thanks, Prawin
