Stepping through Code

Question

I have a Student class that I am using to populate a list of Student(s). When I make my assignment StudentClass sc = new StudentClass(); it moves to the next line of code without allowing me to step through the method thats populating the list with student objects. I am using a console application and was wondering could that be the problem? Do I need a constuctor? TIA !

It's working fine in my VS. I am working on VS 2015 Community edition. Before run the application i kept break points on each function and i can walkthru on each function.   However, i suggest to check the "Debugging" settings your VS like below:   1) Go to Tools -> Options 2) Under the "Debugging" select "General" and uncheck the "Step over properties and operators" like below:

I dont understand what makes the code that populates the list execute. I dont see any reference to it?

I'm working on this tutorial at this link. I just want to see the students variable being populate in debug mode. I cant put a break point anywhere except in the main module. Thanks !   https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb907066.aspx
