What are the differences between C# and VB.NET

Ques :  What are the differences between C# and VB.NET apart from syntax? which is more powerful,how do we determine which language to be used when designing a .NET app?

Apart from the fact that C# supports pointers in unsafe code and VB.NET doesn't, there are no appreciable differences in power these days between the two languages.
You can use whichever language you feel most comfortable with to develop a .NET application.
