The Anonymous method is the new feature in C# 3.0, which simplifies the delegates and the reference method will be written in the delegate initialization.

To all intents and purposes, anonymous methods have been superseded  in C# 3.0 (and later) by lambda expressions which are more concise and flexible.
However, the former are still supported for compatibility with earlier code.
