Reflection in simple terms is a tool or a chunk of code which tries to find the internal details of any managed object and gives you the information about the managed objects.
For example, if you have a DLL and it has few methods and few other properties. You want to know and run a particular method at runtime, then you can reflection to instantiate that particular class at runtime and then execute the particular method. It is like a Police who interrogates and resolves the cases.
