As an Application Developer at IBM, you will play a crucial role in driving innovation by translating system requirements into design and development within an agile environment. Your expertise will empower IBM and its clients globally, allowing you to integrate code into enterprise systems that deliver tangible business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaboration. Work closely with development team members and product owners to brainstorm and design software solutions.
- Architecture Design. Create both client-side and server-side architectures to ensure efficient application performance.
- Microservices Development. Develop and implement microservices that align with business and technical requirements.
- Front-End Development. Design and develop user-friendly front-end applications with a strong focus on UX principles.
- Database Management. Develop and manage databases to ensure well-functioning applications.
- Troubleshooting. Diagnose, debug, and upgrade applications to enhance functionality and performance.
- Documentation. Write and maintain comprehensive technical documentation to support development and operational processes.
Required Qualifications
- Experience. Minimum of 5 years in full-stack development with a proven track record of developing end-to-end applications.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in front-end technologies: React, Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Strong experience with .NET Core and C# (version 5 and above).
- Familiarity with database systems such as MySQL and Microsoft SQL, and the Entity Framework.
- Experience in both Unix and Windows environments.
- Knowledge of CI/CD principles and DevSecOps practices.
- Experience in developing cloud-native applications.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively in a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with web servers (e.g., Apache) and UI/UX design principles.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ICT Assessment Certification for Software Developer) are advantageous.
