Quick takes from developers at work.
Tips, fixes and short write-ups on what developers ran into this week, in their own words.
Improper error handling leads to a variety of security problems. Common problems include when we expose our internal methods in Stack-traces, error codes, exceptions etc. and these are displayed to the hacker. An attacker is one who is waiting for such a thing to show up in order to take advantage of it. Out of memory, null pointer, array out of bounds exception and hundreds of other errors are a common cause. We need to have a strong mechanism to handle these errors and hide implementation details from the attacker.

In this blog, I am going to explain about the structure of C# programming language.

In most of the blogs, you can find the answer that Delegates are similar to function pointers in C, and we can use Delegate to call methods at runtime. I will explain one of the real need of Delegates: First, we need to understand what the Publisher subscriber model is.

In this article, you will learn to send Email using Gmail SMTP.

Maintaining different app.config files for different regions can be a pain and also prone to errors. Using the Config sections in the config files can be one of the ways to solve the problem.

In the previous article , I have explained the use of the Virtual & Override keywords. They are used for Method overriding concepts in polymorphism.

In this article, I am going to explain the second type of polymorphism; i.e., Method Overriding. The first type of polymorphism; i.e., Method Overloading, is explained in a previous article.

Method Overloading is one of the types of polymorphism. In the object-oriented programming paradigm, polymorphism often refers to the ability to present the same interface for different forms. Although the concept of polymorphism is similar in all the programming languages, its implementation differs from language to language.

Today, I am going to show you how we can call multiple constructors by making a single object in Main class.

It will show you all the methods in the web service that you have created. Also, at the bottom, there is an option to add “Namespace”. You can specify any relevant name here. (say ServiceReference1) and Click “OK”.

Each XML Web service needs a unique namespace in order for client applications to distinguish it from other services on the Web.

Here you will learn about Cloning Of Object, Shallow Copy And Deep Copy In C#.

In this article, we will discuss how to bind an XML File Data to a ComboBox Control. From combo box, we need to show the table data into GridView.

Here you will learn about Web Services Protocol Stack.

In this blog, we will see how we can start a list from a specific value.

Microsoft’s C# programming language is an elegant, type-safe and object-oriented language that allows developers to build different secure and robust applications, which run on .NET.

This is example to comparing different version number in c#

Web Service is an application that is designed to interact directly with other applications (on the same or different platforms) over the internet.

Value types are stored in Stack Memory. A Stack follows only one end of operations, i.e., Topend. In Stack, it will follow LIFO (Last In First Out) logic here, so the insertion and removal happen from one end only, i.e., Topend

Here you will learn how to log in with Google Plus Account API in ASP.Net Website using C#.

In this Article, I am going to share with you about Indexer in C#

Generics is a type of parameter which allows you to specify an arbitrary type T to a method at compile time having no concrete type specification in the method or class declaration.

An exception is an unforeseen error that occurs when a program is running. An exception is actually a class that derives from System.Exception class.

Recently, I spoke with our C# developer team on the new updates related to Visual Studio. In fact, I am not talking just about Visual Studio, to be precise, it's Microsoft Visual Studio Code new version.
