Android Studio Rabbit 2 adds support for more than 40 coding agents

Google has released Android Studio Rabbit 2 as a stable version for production use. The release lets developers connect more than 40 coding agents, including Claude Agent, OpenAI Codex, Junie and Google Antigravity, through Bring Your Own Agent support. Agents can access Android Studio tools such as the Emulator, build systems and Logcat, along with Android skills. The update also stabilizes Android XR emulators, adds an Android skills manager, integrates LeakCanary with the built-in agent and introduces AI Change Review. Developers can use the features by downloading the latest stable version of Android Studio.

Why it matters

Developers can choose coding agents based on workflow, cost or enterprise provider requirements while keeping access to Android Studio tools. The skills manager, memory-leak guidance and guided change reviews are intended to reduce manual work when building and checking Android applications.
